Hey there folks! This page will now only be a brief overview of the coming month. For detailed information on upcoming gigs and how gigs went and everything we're up to, check out the BLOG
October:
October is part of fall, or autumn if you want to get fancy. Almost awake is playing during this month in three places. The places are in Glens Falls, Brunswick and Ballston Spa! They are all in different counties.
On the 5th, we will be at Mocha Blend in Brunswick, which is a snazzy little new place in the Pollack's home center plaza on Hoosick Street. It's at 7pm, and the staff are pretty darn nice and the walls are a nice color, so you should come check it out. We will like you more if you do.
On the 12th, we will be at Ridge Street Coffee Co. at the corner of Ridge street and ninteen other streets. It has good acoustics, so you should come to it. It is at 7pm.
On the 20th, we will be at Coffee Planet. You all know about coffee planet. It's located at 100 Milton Aver (route 50) in Ballston Spa. It's at 11am. 11am is the morning. You could have brunch at the show. You should come.
Also, Casey has been having quite a lot of ear problems recently, and is looking for ways to reduce the volume on stage for her while still allowing dave to hear the monitor and all that's going on. Ear plugs tend to make playing awful, so if you have any other ideas, please send them our way.
Hope to see you at some of the shows listed on our dates page, which you must check out for more information.
Recording is still chugging along. In order to focus more on getting out album out there, and playing shows that really matter to us, AA will be playing less frequently in the coming months. We're going to work on playing places where people come to listen to live performance, not to have unusually animated and tuneful wallpaper. We're also going to be promoting our shows more through flyers, etc. But we need YOU to help us by hanging up flyers for the shows we play in your city, scoping out new venues for us and generally getting the word out about Almost Awake. check out AASS for more info, or e-mail casey.almostawake@gmail.com if you'd like to help.
